Leader Support Manager:
Accountable to the CDD for developing and managing the service unit.
s Attends monthly SUMMIT meetings at council, SU Team and Leader meetings
s Coordinates Team meetings, prepares agendas for Team & Leader meetings.
s Responsible for assuring troops are receiving program as defined by
the council.
s Represents the Service Team to the Council
s Recruits NEW team members, along with other team members
s Represents Council to the volunteers in the Service Team
Troop Development Manager/ Registrar:
Accountable
to the CDD for developing and managing the service unit.
s Oversees
the spring and fall registration process
s Processes girl and adults Interest Forms to Team/Consultants for placement.
s Attend SU Team and Leader meetings
Program Support Manager:
Accountable
to the CDD for developing and managing the service unit.
s Oversees the work of individual event coordinators in planning and
implementing service events & activities.
s Serves as a mentor for planners of major troop & SU620 events
s Forward event information from council, minimal.
s Attend SU Team and Leader meetings
Finance/Treasurer:
s
Keep the financial records/checking
account of the Service Unit
s Ensures receipt of all troop financial records, including troop disbanding reports.
s
Oversees the bank accounts
of troops within the Service Team
s Maintains list of troop checking account locations, numbers and signature
cards
s Tracks fundraising of troops within the Service Team
s Assists when needed with budgeting of service unit events
s Attend SU Team and Leader meetings
(can be seasonal)
Volunteer Application Coordinator:
s
Tracks the fingerprinting
and volunteer application process for all SU volunteers.
s
Arranges & Coordinates fingerprinting at the SU leader meetings, as needed.
s
Participates with emailing
as requested, minimal amount
s Attend SU Team and Leader meetings. (optional)
Training Coordinator:
s Advise leaders/adults on how to sign up for training classes.
s Monitors training processes to assure completion & compliance.
s Attend SU Team and Leader meetings (optional)
s Maintains SU training record
Communications
Coordinators & Newletter:
s Produce and distribute a Service Unit newsletter electronically or mailing.
s Work as a liaison with the Council/SU Program Support Manager in forwarding
informational emails to leaders.
s Assists in providing information and/or resources to Leaders. Encourage leaders
to share resources.
Web
Master:
s Update website monthly or as needed. Collaborate with Council IT Mgr regarding website design.
s Participate as an active member of the Service Unit Team.
SU Secretary:
s Attend SU Team and Leader meetings.
s Take notes and email the minutes out to the SU team and Leaders
Level Consultant/ Mentor(s):
Daisy,
Brownie, Junior. OGIL (Cadette/Senior/Ambassadors)
s
Assist leaders/adults when needed with advice on
troop activities.
s Monitors troop activities to ensure balanced program for girls.
s Attend SU Team and Leader meetings
s Support and promote Council’s fundraising and product sales activities.
s Mentor new Leaders to increase their knowledge of the Girl Scout Program, especially
in a particular level or program area.
s Provide information, resources, and support to Leaders.
s Provide assistance in planning and implementing troop meeting or other troop
issues the Leader may need assistance with.
New Leader Advisor:
s Deliver GS SU620 materials, information, resources and support to new leaders.
s Mentor new leaders to increase their knowledge of the function of the Service
Unit.
s Assure completion of orientation and training within council guidelines.
s Help motivate new Leaders during their first year.
s Attend SU Team (optional) and Leader meetings
s Insure that NEW leaders are fully supported & recognized by SU team.
s Arrange and facilitate Service Unit welcome sessions
Product Chairperson (Nuts & Cookies):
s Provides training for each troop sales manager
s Arranges for Service Unit product delivery and pickup station on assigned delivery
date
s Checks the accuracy and completeness of troop product orders
s Coordinates booth activity with the community (cookies only)
s Cookie Chair: Attend monthly SU Team & Leader Meetings from Nov through end of cookie sales Fall Product: Attend monthly SU Team & Leader Meetings from
Aug/Sept. through end of product sales
Travel Trips
Coordinator:
s Receives and approves all SU620 troop field trip forms .. see CRG for details
s Forwards and tracks field trip forms that require council approval and communicates status to Leaders.
